Dirty Girls Ministries in partnership with Westside Family Church presents WHOLE Women’s Conference on August 24-25, 2012 featuring author and Women of Faith speaker Lisa Harper.

Based on Mark 5:34a, “Daughter, your faith has made you whole,” this conference experience will tackle tough subjects normally left untouched by the typical women’s conference. Topics that both Christian and non-Christian women struggle with in today’s culture.

In addition to main teaching and worship sessions, women will select breakouts addressing issues like porn addiction, abortion, human trafficking, grieving mothers, homosexuality, marital intimacy, teen purity and more.

Register by May 15 to receive early-bird pricing of just $25 per person (jumps to $35 after May 15). Price of admission includes a breakfast devotional led by Lisa Whittle, lunch provided by Chick-fil-A, a teen purity fashion show by Nuance Boutique and all conference materials.

I am so pumped that beginning Wednesday, I will be in Atlanta attending Catalyst 08. It was such a (and I use this phrase sparingly so you know I mean it) God-thing that I was able to sneak on board. I am excited about the speakers, labs, hanging out with awesome people and the BLOGGER PARTIES.

I am currently on the third trip to Chicago of my life-time.

Once when I was 19 years old with Klint, Chad, Dave L., and Andrea when we attended the Willow Creek Youth Workers Conference. Once when I was 21 with Becky and Anne when we went to a workshop at Granger, but flew through Chicago and spent the day there. And now at age 23 with Kathi and Melissa at the Willow Creek Leadership Summit.

Why is the title of my post The Chicago Omen?

Well, if you look again at the 2 previous trips to the one I am on now, only ONE of the people I was with then, am I still in local, active ministry with now.

No, I don’t truly believe that because we’re in Chicago this week, that automatically means that one or all of us will be leaving soon — it is just weird to look back and see the funky pattern.
