drumroll please……………..
it’s all in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have recieved of all the financial support I need for my trip to south africa. WOW! God is absolutely amazing. All I am waiting on now is… my silly little passport. According to the department of whatever, it should arrive in the mail on Monday. YAY!

BUT If you wish to STILL give toward this mission you can do so. However, your gift will not go toward my fund. I will forward your gift on to Oceans of Mercy to benefit another one of my team members.

Send any and all future gifts to the following address and I will be sure to turn it in to the people who need it. Or click here to give online.

PS. I encourage you to check out Dear Francis. We watched this last Sunday at our first AIDS/Abstinence training class for Africa. It is a very, moving documentary about the AIDS Crisis in Swaziland… Africa. Even the trailer will give you a better idea of what my team will be doing at similar schools in South Africa. The trailer is below.

update on nephew

Thanks for the encouragement some of you have sent.
Like my previous post said, my baby nephew is sick in the hospital. I went up there last night and he was doing MUCH better… running around, laughing, falling over… cause he’s lonly 1 and can not walk well…. hehe :) But he needs to be off oxygen for 7 hours before he can go home. Every time he falls asleep his oxygen levels drop drastically below normal. This ended up happening soon after I left last night. He had to be hooked back up to oxygen and monitors to sleep. So please continue praying for quick healing from this infection for this little guy. My sister-in-law is up there with him … so pray for stamina for her too.
He is staying overnight again.

Below… pics of jackson at the hospital. As you can see he’s doing pretty good when he’s awake. SO CUTE. I can’t help but show him off… I am a proud aunt. :)

URGENT prayer for nephew

My little nephew Jackson (1 yr. old) has just been admitted into Children’s Mercy Hospital with RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus Infection) and is showing low oxygen levels. He is responding well to oxygen at Children’s Mercy but we’re not sure how long he will need to remain in the hospital. Some of you remember he was born with Rh Factor and has overcome some difficulty already. PLEASE say a prayer for this little guy. And remember my brother and sister-in-law, as it will probably be a long night. I will also probably have my other nephew tonight which always makes things adventurous!

Thanks!

Grant the Intern

Yep, I am using my blog and the power of the internet for whatever I want. My buddy and co-worker, “Grant the intern”, has a very unique opportunity. I am just helping him get the word out. Check out his music, he is very talented. If you like it, vote for him.

http://www.grantrichard.com/

“I have a unique opportunity to have one of my songs featured on a commercial for the Chevy Cobalt (sports sedan, it’s like a new car or something….). It’s a battle of the bands, and there are 4 bands from the Kansas City area competing. Please please please go and vote for me, (if you think my music is best suited for Chevrolet of course (: ). Once the winners from each city are determined (there are 4 cities total), they go on to another round of voting for the nationals. Once that round is over, the winner is selected.

Thanks everybody!”

If you really like him, go out to iTunes music store and buy his album.

PLEASE READ: volunteer your photography

I have a HUGE ask of you. Some of the volunteers I was using here at our church – have either backed out or are unable to do the project after all. Lucky for me that gave me NO notice… whew ok. So, now I am asking you – the talented and giving community of pinkhairedgirl.net.

I need photography.

Below you will see photos of different variety, but they are all similar in nature. They show life-change, raw emotions, individuality. These are the kinds of imagery we are desiring for the Come Together (ONE LIFE) project. Our deadline is February 11 (TODAY) in order to have time to print them before the church campaign launch on February 18. See, now that doesn’t give you much time, does it?

I know that is not much time for you all. I am assuming that a lot of you already have pictures you’ve taken that are similar to these since most of you are professional-level photographers.

So here’s how it breaks down:

1. High-Res. Digital Photography
2. Faces of Individual People (none too recognizable… ie. celebrities or Westside staff, etc.)
3. Nothing too abstract.

a) What we would need are High Resolution photos for large print…. our preference is that you send us the pictures in color (either by email or bring by a disk) and let us adjust them to B&W ourselves. The B&W tones we are using have more of a yellow tint… than grey/blue.
If you ANY of any of the above variety please let me know. You can email me at crenaud@westsidefamilychurch.com (and also send photography to that email).

THANK YOU!!!
