Your Next Right Step…

When professor and author Dallas Willard was asked, “If a person wants to grow spiritually where should they start?” his answer was, “Do the next right thing you know you ought to do because that’s what God wants you to do . . . but you will need help.”

At Dirty Girls Ministries, we strive to provide women with opportunities to do their next right thing. And we have a few more of those opportunities to tell you about today:

Top Posts of 2014

We had a great year of ministry, including some pretty hard-hitting blog posts. Here are our top posts of 2014 as based on readership, shares, and buzz… and leave a comment to share with us what you would like for us to talk about in 2015!

CHRISTIAN GREY BELONGS IN JAIL, NOT IN YOUR BEDROOMbookandfilm

This was by far our most controversial and most talked about post of 2014 (and ever). In this post, Crystal Renaud discusses the Fifty Shades of Grey craze, specifically what is means about our culture today. This is not a “we hate all porn in all its forms because we’re Christian” kind of post. It is a very honest conversation with all of the women, specifically the Christian women, who believe this book (and upcoming film) is fun, exciting, riveting, and good for the bedroom.

DGM MEMBERSHIP—A PLACE TO BELONG

Recovery from pornography addiction, any addiction in fact, is a process. At Dirty Girls Ministries, we want to come alongside you through our recovery process made up of five steps: Surrender, Confession, Accountability, Responsibility and Sharing. If you are unfamiliar with this process, can learn more about it HERE.

For those of you struggling with an addiction of a sexual nature, you know the anguish of holding onto this secret and not knowing who you can confide in. As women, we believe we’re the only ones struggling in this way. And addiction LOVES isolation. But confession brings light and a sense of community. And it just so happens that a community is exactly what we have here at DGM...

New Site, New Year, New You

We are so excited to share with you the recent changes we’ve made to the DGM website. These changes are a long time coming and believe they bring more structure and intentionality to the recovery process we offer women here.

Recovery from pornography addiction, any addiction in fact, is a process. At Dirty Girls Ministries, we want to come alongside you through a recovery process made up of five steps: Surrender, Confession, Accountability, Responsibility and Sharing — adapted from my book Dirty Girls Come Clean

The biggest change you will see is the RECOVERY tab.

That is where the journey now begins. The other big change is that our online community is now locked down with registration only available to those who complete the Personal Inventory (if you already have an account, you...
